So I come here to write an update after reading a post about xanga vs facebook and at the top of my page there is a way to put my update on facebook. Unfortunately I am so behind the times i don't even have facebook! Oh, well, I find enough things to look at on the computer without that.
Don't think there will be any pictures this time around and I am not much of writer so that means this post will be fairly short.
Spring is finally starting to come in the North! The dandelions are up if that counts for anything.
Kaitlyn spends a good percentage of waking hours outside. Recently her play 'spot' is sitting in the middle of the driveway in a sandy section. She likes making sand angels so she doesn't stay very clean. But she's happy so who am I to argue? Yesterday she made a pile of sand and stuck some sticks in it. She said it was for Josh's birthday. I'm sure he'll feel special to have a sand birthday cake. She also started picking mini pine cones off the branches she can reach. They look like minitature strawberries. It is supposedly food for the birds. At least her imagination is in working order.
Chad was at a dr. appointment today. At 7 1/2 months he is 27 1/2 inches long and 19 3/4 lbs. Just info for anyone that knows him good enough to care or someone who has a baby similar in age and wants to compare. What mom doesn't do that?
What am I doing these days? Between laundry and other household duties I usually go to my moms once a week, scrapbooking with friends, going on walks by myself or with friends, doing a little book work for the business, etc. Sounds like an exciting life, eh? Speaking of household duties...

Kaitlyn Beth
licking the beaters from her cake batter.
Let the decorating begin...
Kaitlyn helped every once in awhile with guidance from her mom.
Taking a break to talk to her brother.
She loved ALL her presents. I guess that goes without saying. What kid doesn't? But she would have been fine with opening one present and just playing with that one for awhile instead of opening them all at once. Unfortunately, the adults didn't feel like taking all afternoon with the presents so we coaxed her along.
Chad even liked playing with her ball.
Look alikes. Paula made the dress for Kaitlyn.

Aurelia's Bridal Shower
Okay, so I didn't take near enough pictures. And there aren't even any pictures of the gifts. Oh, well. Here are the few that I do have.
The bride-to-be had to drive about 2 1/2 hrs after getting off work at 5. There were misc. beverages we could help ourselves to while we waited a few minutes for her.
Rosie was in charge of the games. The first one we had to answer questions about Aurelia (full name, dog or cat person, thing she appreciates the most about her husband-to-be, where they are going for their honeymoon, birthdate, where she was born, if he holds her purse while she shops when they are shopping together, etc.) Once we had ours all filled out Rosie read Aurelia's which were the right answers obviously.
The next game Aurelia had to answer questions about Dave (birth place, what kind of toothpaste he uses, favorite meal, what age he got his first deer and what it was, what his first car was, etc.) Everytime she had the wrong answer she had to throw a candy bar out to some one else. I think she got to keep the remaining ones.
Margie, Beth, Kim, and Sharon all had short talks on some aspect of marriage - communication, admiring your husband, submission, and I can't think of the other title.
Other than Aurelia's nieces the only children there was Raquel who was sleeping the whole time, Travis, and Chad who was also sleeping most of the time. I was glad he slept so much cause he had been kind of cranky the whole afternoon when ever he wasn't sleeping. I was dreading how it might go at the shower, but he did great.

Sewing Day
This post might not interest a lot of you but I am doing it primarily for some of my friends/family that are out of the area. I thought they might be interested in seeing some faces from home. Beings I am not on my own computer I thought it would be easier to do this than to send it in an e-mail.
Today was sewing. There was a nice amount of people there to work on Rosie's quilt.
First of all the babies that were there:
I was going to post a picture of the ladies quilting but beings I do not know for sure if a certain someone reads my site or not I think I will refrain from posting it.
Kaitlyn was keeping herself occupied after her friends left with a paint brush. She said she was cleaning it (drinking fountain).
